The Maroon Tiger Reviews Autograph: The Remixes
Autograph: The Remixes EP - ★★★★
With the Autograph: The Remixes EP, Carmine Davis offers new versions of his hit single without losing the original nature of the song. Each remix is different but doesn’t stray far from the dance/techno/pop sound that makes “Autograph” a unique song.
The first track is simply a remastered, more polished version of the original song. The next 3 tracks show the styles and creativity of 3 different producers, each adding elements that make the track stand out more.
The first remix, track 2 is the “Milky Mix” by producer Milky Beatz, whose chemistry with Davis is impeccable. Milky does a great job of creating a new sound for the sound without losing the magic from the “original version”.
Track 3 is the “Critcal Hits” remix. This producer creates an airy beat that fits the lyrics of the song. The bass gives this remix more of a house music feel than the original.
Track 4, the Mige Soria remix is my favorite on the EP. It’s a bass heavy, energetic track that is fit perfectly for a club on South Beach Miami, Downtown LA, or the infamous Jersey shore. Meaning, this track is good fist-pumping techno music.
Davis even offers an A’cappella version, as well as a bonus track produced by Migue Soria. The A’Cappella is for producers to take the vocals and create their own remix of Autograph. The bonus track is a remix of Davis’, “Dual Sides” With this remix, Soria creates the same bass heavy, fist-pumping energy as the Autograph remix.
On this project, Davis did a great job of finding producers to do his single justice. With his hand in every aspect of the project as Executive Producer, Davis put together a solid project for listeners to enjoy. Autograph: The Remixes EP is available on iTunes; download it, spread the word.
